About the role#
PPL Corporation offers engineering internships and co-ops for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with mentors and supervisors across various departments, including Asset Management, Design, Field, and Operations. The program provides exposure to the utility industry through independent work and team-based projects. At the end of the term, you will present your project results and a summary of your experience to company leadership.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine engineering assignments, including tests, calculations, and analysis.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest new methods.
- Support maintenance and operating functions through troubleshooting and data analysis.
- Assist engineers with large-scale projects and the development of engineering goals.
- Conduct tasks in compliance with environmental rules and safety regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment (12 semester hours) in an ABET accredited program.
- Pursuit of a baccalaureate or master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.50.
- A valid driver's license from your state of residence.
- Ability to work full-time (35-40 hours per week) on-site during the program dates.

- Positions are located in Allentown, Bloomsburg, Hazleton, Harrisburg, and Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
- Work modality includes both on-site and hybrid options.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
