About the role#
PPL Corporation is hiring for a Civil Engineering Co-op for the Spring 2027 semester. This is a full-time, paid position. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support utility operations, maintenance, and large-scale construction projects. The program provides hands-on experience in the utility industry through mentorship and practical engineering applications.
What you'll do#
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data using established engineering procedures.
- Perform routine engineering tasks including calculations, testing, and analysis.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions.
- Support operations and maintenance teams with troubleshooting and technical evaluations.
- Assist engineers with large-scale construction and design initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABET Accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.50.
- Availability to work full time from January through May 2027.

- Positions are available in Louisville, Kentucky and Bedford, Kentucky.
