About the role#
As an Engineering Co-op, you will support our efforts to provide reliable electric service to over a million customers in Pennsylvania. You will work alongside a supervisor or mentor on meaningful projects that impact our Transmission and Distribution grid. At the end of your term, you will present your project results and a summary of your experience to PPL leadership.
What you'll do#
- Identify opportunities for grid improvements and suggest new methods.
- Gather, correlate, and analyze data using established procedures.
- Perform engineering assignments involving calculations, tests, and analysis.
- Support operating and maintenance functions through troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Assist engineers with large projects and the development of goals, budgets, and programs.
- Maintain an accident-free workplace and follow all environmental rules and regulations.
- Review assignments to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment (12 semester hours) in a baccalaureate or master’s degree program for Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.50.
- Ability to work full-time, 35-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in person.
- A valid driver's license from your state of residence.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment in person or in a hybrid capacity.

- Locations: Allentown, Lancaster, Harrisburg, Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, Hazleton, Bloomsburg, or Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
- Modality: On-site or hybrid.
- Travel: Required within the service territory.
- Status: Full-time and paid.
