About the role#
PPL Corporation is hiring Electrical Engineering students for a co-op term during the Spring 2027 semester. This position provides hands-on experience within the utility industry, allowing you to work alongside experienced professionals on projects that support our operations. You will gain insight into power plant operations, distribution systems, and transmission planning.
What you'll do#
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data using established engineering procedures.
- Perform routine engineering tasks including calculations, testing, and analysis.
- Support operations and maintenance teams with troubleshooting and technical evaluations.
- Assist engineers with large-scale projects and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an ABET Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.50.
- Availability to work full time from January through May 2027.

- This is a paid, full-time position.
- The role is on-site.
- Openings are located in Louisville, Bedford, and Lexington, Kentucky.
