About the role#
Canyon AeroConnect is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in Prescott, Arizona. This role focuses on performing technical work within the engineering department. You will assist with design projects and gain hands-on experience by applying your academic knowledge to real-world aviation and aerospace components. This is a part-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Participate in design reviews.
- Develop and document technical theory of operations.
- Create plans and reports including charts and graphs.
- Perform basic circuit design, circuit analysis, schematic capture, and simple PCB design.
- Troubleshoot using common lab equipment.
- Handle basic electronics assembly and soldering.
- Assist with part selection and bill of material development.
- Uphold company EHS policies and the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by your manager.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an engineering, technical, or scientific program, with sophomore or junior standing or completion of freshman engineering courses.
- Proficiency in calculus and statistical methods.
- Strong writing skills with an emphasis on technical documentation.
- Knowledge of MS Office, including scientific charting and graphing in Excel.
- Experience with basic test equipment such as DMMs and oscilloscopes.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively.
- A right first time attitude.
