About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer Intern focusing on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), you will work within our Clean Transportation functional area. You will gain hands-on experience at an employee-owned engineering and construction firm, working alongside experts on infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing electrical engineering deliverables, including reports, drawings, specifications, and studies.
- Support engineering analyses, designs, and report production.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to schedule project deliverables.
- Organize and evaluate data, including using computer modeling to analyze systems.
- Manage project materials, references, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Relevant coursework or knowledge in Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations.
- Understanding of engineering design principles and design guides.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective written communication, and the ability to build professional relationships.
