About the role#
Lake Superior Consulting is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work under the supervision of electrical engineers, gaining exposure to facilities design and construction management projects. These assignments cover civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines from project inception through delivery. You will interact with internal and external stakeholders while learning core engineering techniques and processes.
What you'll do#
- Handle multiple assignments and work independently.
- Communicate and interface with your team.
- Help engineers and CAD designers with design documentation, calculations, research, reports, and CAD drawings.
- Assist in the development of department procedures, drawing standards, and technical details.
- Support the preparation of project cost estimates and final reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Electrical Engineering, with sophomore or junior status.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational skills and a desire to learn quickly.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to work extra hours or overtime when project demands require it.
- Availability to travel up to 20% of the time based on project needs.
