About the role#
As a Project Controls Intern, you will support our field teams in managing the cost, schedule, and progress of infrastructure projects. This role provides hands-on experience in the practical side of engineering and construction management. You will work directly with project controls professionals to ensure data accuracy and project success.
What you'll do#
- Assist with cost, schedule, and earned value reporting.
- Update commodity curves, daily production trackers, and equipment logs.
- Support project forecasting and contract administration tasks.
- Help track earned value and verify quantities installed in the field.
- Participate in site safety walks to understand and support safe work practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited university program for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Finance, or Construction Management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve problems and handle mathematical calculations.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.
- A self-starting attitude with high attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site at a field project location in Kansas.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
