About the role#
L3Harris Technologies is hiring a Continuous Improvement Intern to help analyze and refine manufacturing operations and workflows. You will focus on improving efficiencies related to cost control, inventory management, and production record systems. This role involves identifying methods to maximize the use of production processes and supporting improvement initiatives across various functional areas.
What you'll do#
- Lead and support projects focused on workflow, work sequencing, and standardized work.
- Monitor improvement efforts to ensure the safe and efficient use of time, personnel, and equipment.
- Assist in optimizing work area layouts and production resource utilization.
- Provide direct continuous improvement support to manufacturing operations.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, Quality Sciences, Finance, or a related field.
- Preferred experience includes Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Simio is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Rochester, New York.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where employees work 80 hours over 9 days in a 14-day period with every other Friday off.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
