About the role#
BAYSTAR is hiring an Electrical Engineering intern for the Summer 2027 term. This on-site role is based in Pasadena, Texas. You will work within a cross-functional team to design electrical products and handle daily engineering tasks. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Review drawings to ensure they work with existing systems and are ready for manufacturing.
- Analyze and solve engineering problems.
- Suggest long-term solutions to help with continuous improvement.
- Follow all plant safety policies and procedures.
- Use your electrical engineering knowledge to support site operations.
- Manage and execute small projects as assigned.
- Help with quality assurance and the commissioning of new equipment.
- Complete other duties as needed to support the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related undergraduate program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA. Please submit an unofficial transcript with your application.
- Strong technical, writing, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to follow directions and finish tasks.
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is preferred.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, lift up to 10 pounds, and walk safely in industrial areas.
