    About the role#

    As an Electrical Engineering Co-Op, you will work on-site at a chemical plant in Luling, Louisiana. You will assist engineers with the design, installation, and start-up of automatic process control and material handling systems. This role involves working alongside production and technical staff to improve equipment reliability and safety.

    What you'll do#

    • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and recommend improvements.
    • Support the design, installation, and start-up of distributed control systems.
    • Assist engineers in defining project objectives and creating technical specifications.
    • Perform engineering calculations using standard methods and principles.
    • Support the Operational Excellence program and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Electrical Engineering.
    • Completion of at least your sophomore year.
    • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
    • Willingness to work in a chemical plant environment.

    • Location: Luling, Louisiana.
    • Terms: Winter 2027 or Fall 2027.
    • This is a paid, full-time position.
