About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Co-Op, you will work on-site at a chemical plant in Luling, Louisiana. You will assist engineers with the design, installation, and start-up of automatic process control and material handling systems. This role involves working alongside production and technical staff to improve equipment reliability and safety.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and recommend improvements.
- Support the design, installation, and start-up of distributed control systems.
- Assist engineers in defining project objectives and creating technical specifications.
- Perform engineering calculations using standard methods and principles.
- Support the Operational Excellence program and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Willingness to work in a chemical plant environment.

- Location: Luling, Louisiana.
- Terms: Winter 2027 or Fall 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
