About the role#
As a Crop Science Sales Intern, you will join a 12-week program designed to build your skills in sales, agronomy, and digital farming. You will work within a sales team focused on seeds, traits, crop protection, and digital solutions. A mentor will guide your day-to-day learning and provide feedback throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support the sales team and assist with the promotion of product portfolios.
- Complete business projects and present your findings at the end of the term.
- Build relationships with farmer customers to identify and meet their specific needs.
- Develop your sales process skills, including prospecting and cold calling.
- Gain a broad understanding of the agricultural industry and market needs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in at least a bachelor degree program.
- Interest in the agricultural industry and a career in sales.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
- Leadership and problem-solving experience.
- A valid driver license and a driving record that meets company risk-screening guidelines.
- Ability to travel daily throughout the assigned sales territory.
- Physical ability to lift a 60-pound bag of seed.
- Willingness to relocate for the duration of the internship.
