About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of vegetable seed manufacturing. You will work with regional and global stakeholders to support operational, field, and process improvement activities. Your work helps ensure reliable and high-quality seed production. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Document operational processes within the Manufacturing Excellence function.
- Partner with onsite manufacturing teams to execute projects related to seed processing.
- Support field activities, including stock seed shipment, trial coordination, rouging, scouting for disease and weeds, pollination, harvesting, threshing, drying, and delivery.
- Complete data validation and SAP reports to support global and regional operations.
- Assist Quality and HSE functions in driving key programs and metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Work with Crop Specialists, Field Quality, and Production Research personnel to improve reliability, quality, and project costs.
- Contribute to business initiatives, standardization, and optimization projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program.
- A valid driver license and personal transportation to the worksite.
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively within a team.
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivation and a focus on results.
- Ability to manage deadlines with high attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills for data acquisition and record keeping.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and adapt to change.

- This role is based in Payette or Nampa, Idaho.
- The position is on-site and full-time.
