About the role#
As a Structural Engineer Intern for our Substation team, you will contribute to infrastructure projects while gaining hands-on experience in engineering design and analysis. You will work alongside our teams to help turn technical ideas into real-world solutions.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development of design specifications and contract drawings.
- Prepare basic engineering calculations.
- Use computer modeling to analyze systems.
- Support engineering analyses and the production of reports.
- Organize and maintain project materials and technical references.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program.
- A preferred emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Completion of at least one design course is preferred.
- Ability to complete all pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screens.
Location & details#
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Locations: Cary, NC; Raleigh, NC; Ann Arbor, MI; or Orlando, FL.
- This is a paid internship position.
