About the role#
As a Trading Summer Analyst, you will work alongside traders on projects that support the investment process across global markets. This hands-on role involves working with experienced traders, portfolio managers, researchers, and technologists to solve real problems. You will participate in the Quanta Academy Summer Term, a 10-week program featuring over 40 hours of educational and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Analyze trading activity, market structure, and liquidity across asset classes.
- Investigate how news, macroeconomic events, policy decisions, and geopolitical developments influence prices.
- Build analytical tools and perform research to improve execution and trading decisions.
- Work with large datasets to identify patterns, test hypotheses, and generate insights.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, researchers, and technologists on projects that span the investment process.
What you'll need#
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Intellectual curiosity and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Strong interest in global markets, financial developments, market structure, and liquidity.
- Ability to test hypotheses and use data science to solve problems with evidence-based solutions.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
