About the role#
As an Environmental Engineering Intern, you will gain direct experience in permitting, compliance, and regulatory research. You will work alongside our engineering and project management teams to ensure our facilities meet environmental standards. This role provides professional training and mentorship to help you prepare for a career in the field.
What you'll do#
- Support environmental permitting and compliance for design and construction projects.
- Assist with air permits, including synthetic minor, PSD sources, and Title V operating permits.
- Help manage NPDES industrial wastewater permits and storm water discharge permits.
- Work on potable well, public water supply, and 401/404 water certifications.
- Assist with FAA permitting and pollution prevention plan development.
- Prepare training and guidance documents for environmental regulations.
- Analyze data regarding pollutant controls and releases.
- Provide environmental support to various biofuels industry professionals.
- Promote safe behavior and maintain a collaborative team environment.
What you'll need#
- Junior or senior-level student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software.
- High level of personal integrity and objective thinking.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to embrace change and an innovative mindset.
