About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment. You will work on improvement projects, analyze operational data, and support equipment trials. The program lasts for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027 and is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing improvement projects, including lubricant reduction and equipment trials.
- Monitor material usage and identify opportunities to reduce consumption.
- Assist with downtime tracking and participate in Gemba observations to identify process losses.
- Organize and analyze operating data using Microsoft Office and Minitab.
- Support the automation of predictive reporting to improve process visibility.
- Own assigned workstreams from initial planning through final completion.
- Prepare a final presentation that summarizes your analysis, actions, and results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Plastics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- An anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
