About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Chemical Process Engineer Co-Op role based in Seville, Ohio. You will work with the operations team to support production and safety initiatives. This position is for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Manage engineering projects using sound design principles.
- Partner with the operations team to implement safety and production continuous improvement initiatives.
- Write work instructions and conduct job hazard analyses for the production floor.
- Create process diagrams and layouts to support standardization.
- Identify potential product improvements and help develop solutions.
- Assist with site compliance by preparing for annual corporate process audits.
- Participate in safety upgrades for equipment and ongoing quality improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in a Chemical Engineering program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Ability to learn ERP and other specialized software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- A focus on safety, including the ability to use PPE and lead by example with safe work habits.
- Physical ability to work on your feet, use tools, and perform repetitive tasks such as bending and stooping.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
