About the role#
This is a full-time Engineering Intern position for the Winter 2027 term. You will support the operational structure of a new greenfield plant site. You will work on-site in Cedarhurst, New York.
What you'll do#
- Maintain the Operational Readiness Plan in Microsoft Project by adding tasks and updating statuses.
- Develop operating procedures and programs for the plant using existing company examples.
- Create standard operator work instructions and training documentation for operations and maintenance teams.
- Draft Lock-Out-Tag-Out policies, safety initiatives, and general plant procedures.
- Produce preventive maintenance documents.
- Conduct 5S inspection audits.
- Uphold IKO Core Values including integrity, performance, and agility.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior standing in college or a recent graduate with a technical degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to create clear documentation and maintain organized electronic filing systems.
- Strong critical thinking, planning, and time management skills.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to stand and walk frequently during the workday.
- A collaborative approach to teamwork.
