About the role#
The Engineering Intern works alongside experienced engineers to support various projects at our facility. This role provides hands-on exposure to the building materials industry through active participation in daily operations and technical tasks.
What you'll do#
- Promote and maintain safety goals, including leading housekeeping efforts and corrective actions.
- Assist in the design and development of products, systems, or components through drafting, 3D modeling, or prototyping.
- Conduct research, data analysis, and simulations to support project decision-making.
- Participate in testing and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain organized records of engineering activities, such as design documentation and test results.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for team members and departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production staff and project managers.
- Engage in learning opportunities and seek mentorship from senior staff.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited mechanical, electrical, chemical, or industrial engineering program.
- Strong academic performance and a clear interest in engineering.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Initiative, a proactive attitude, and the ability to handle complex assignments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn.
- Previous engineering coursework, projects, or internships are preferred.
