About the role#
The Walt Disney Television Unscripted & Alternative Entertainment team is looking for an intern to support our work on reality programming for ABC and Hulu. This team oversees a variety of content, including The Bachelor franchise, Shark Tank, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, and original series like The Kardashians. You will report to the Manager of Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment and gain insight into the production process across various departments, including post-production, marketing, and legal.
What you'll do#
- Update and maintain department reports using Microsoft Suite.
- Review and sort incoming pitch materials.
- Screen cuts of shows currently in production before they air.
- Manage administrative tasks such as covering phones and scheduling meetings.
- Assist with creative projects, including tracking intellectual property and building casting decks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university, or current participation in a Disney program.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, Airtable, and Adobe Suite.
- Experience working with Mac computer systems.
- Prior internship experience, preferably in unscripted content.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in a changing environment.
- Administrative experience, including covering desks or phones for leadership, is a plus.
- Knowledge of current series on ABC, Hulu, and other networks is a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization.
- A cover letter indicating your interest in this specific position is required.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Burbank, California.
- The term runs from January 2027 through June 2027.
- Interns must be available Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT, for 40 hours per week.
- You must provide your own housing and transportation in the Burbank area.
