About the role#
ESPN is looking for interns to join our social teams for the Winter 2027 term. You will gain hands-on experience creating content for millions of fans across our digital platforms. This is a full-time, paid, remote internship running from January through May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Plan, create, and optimize content for Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, and Snapchat.
- Support social coverage of shows by identifying key moments and producing platform-specific content.
- Clip, edit, and design short-form videos and graphics using industry-standard tools.
- Write engaging social copy, including captions and headlines.
- Monitor trends and sports storylines to find timely content opportunities.
- Apply editorial judgment while collaborating with production, editorial, and social teams.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated interest in social, sports, or digital media through coursework, campus involvement, or personal projects.
- Strong understanding of major social platforms and how content performs on each.
- Solid sports knowledge covering athletes, teams, leagues, and events.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Basic experience with video editing or content creation tools.
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Communications or a related major.
- Ability to work a consistent, full-time schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Preferred experience includes managing social content for student groups or media outlets, and familiarity with software like Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or Photoshop.

- This is a remote position based in Connecticut.
- You must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
- You must be at least 18 years old with unrestricted work authorization.
