About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Mechanical Process Engineer Co-Op position based in Seville, Ohio. You will work within the plant operations department to support manufacturing processes and safety initiatives. This role requires an on-site presence.
What you'll do#
- Manage engineering projects using sound design principles.
- Partner with the operations team to implement safety and production continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create work instructions and perform job hazard analyses on the production floor.
- Develop layouts and process diagrams to support standardization.
- Identify hazards by analyzing specific tasks and jobs.
- Assist with site compliance regarding corporate process standards, including preparation for annual audits.
- Recommend and develop solutions for product improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and general computer literacy.
- Ability to learn ERP software and other internal tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and effective time management.
- A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
- A focus on safety, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment and the ability to lead by example with safe work habits.
