About the role#
This is a paid, full-time co-op opportunity for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, gaining hands-on experience within our Sleep and Respiratory Care division. You will contribute to the development of patient interface technologies while working alongside diverse technical teams.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, prototyping, and testing of CPAP mask systems and sub-systems.
- Compile and analyze data to support the development of masks and CPAP machines.
- Perform small-scale fabrication and assembly of prototypes.
- Conduct bench testing and trials for new designs.
- Use critical thinking to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of alternative engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with group members across various technical disciplines to solve complex problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong computer skills, including the MS Office Suite.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- A self-motivated, disciplined, and open-minded approach with hands-on technical skills.
- A strong desire to learn and attention to detail when documenting work.
- Knowledge of CAD (Pro-E), FEA, and CFD is preferred.

- Location: Murrysville, PA. You must reside in or within commuting distance to this location.
- Term: January to June 2027.
- Work Modality: This is an on-site, full-time position.
