About the role#
The Biomedical Engineering Intern works under the supervision of TRIMEDX management to gain hands-on training. You will shadow clinical, biomedical, lab, and radiology engineers to learn the daily operations of a hospital environment. This is a part-time, on-site position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Shadow experienced engineers to learn how to manage a workload and respond to service calls.
- Perform preventative maintenance procedures and inventory validation.
- Document repairs and maintenance work orders.
- Assist with vendor management and equipment calibration.
- Troubleshoot various types of equipment while learning about electrical safety and repair techniques.
- Work alongside technicians in a real-time service environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate degree, technical degree, or the TRIMEDX Trained Certification program (or equivalent biomedical certification).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
- A valid driver's license, as the role may require travel to different sites.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and substance use screen.
- Previous experience with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering setting is preferred.
