    About the role#

    Glenhaven Academy is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that focuses on trauma informed care. The program provides 24-hour care with an on-site school, nursing staff, and a full clinical team. This internship is a part-time, paid position based on-site in Marlboro, Massachusetts.

    What you'll do#

    You will receive individual and group supervision while participating in weekly clinical meetings, SMART trainings, and clinical groups. Your work involves supporting students in the milieu and school setting, as well as assisting the clinical department with daily needs. You will also facilitate adjunctive case work with 1-2 clients and lead an additional individual therapy session each week. Documentation is a key part of the role, including the completion of progress notes and treatment plans.

    What you'll need#

    Candidates must be working toward a Master’s degree or higher in a mental health field such as LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT. We have LMHC supervision available, though we cannot currently provide LICSW supervision. You should have a clinical interest in working with children and adolescents. Familiarity with trauma informed treatment models is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary for this role. We prioritize students who can complete both their practicum and internship with us, as we do not accept practicum-only students. Background and driving record checks are required.
