BA Level Intern- Foster Care

About the role#

The Intensive Foster Care Program at Justice Resource Institute supports children and their families to ensure success in home, school, and community environments. This internship offers the opportunity to gain clinical experience through supervision from licensed staff, with potential access to ongoing training and professional development.

What you'll do#

• Support the mission by working directly with youth and foster parents.
• Provide individualized services using a strength-based and needs-driven approach.
• Collaborate closely with the individuals and families served.
• Expand your knowledge and application of social justice practices.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in mental health, social work, human services, psychology, sociology, public health, human resources, or counseling.
• A strong interest in working with children and adolescents.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
• Ability to pass background and driving record checks.
