About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Medical Physics Internship located on-site at the Hampton University Proton Cancer Institute in Hampton, Virginia. The position operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
You will support the clinical team with daily, monthly, and annual machine quality assurance tasks. Your responsibilities include patient-specific parts QA and other clinical activities aligned with the AAPM Task Group 224 Report. At the end of the internship, you will prepare and deliver a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation summarizing your projects, developed skills, and overall experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Physics or Biomedical Engineering program or graduation within the last 12 months from an accredited institution.
- Proof of good academic standing, such as unofficial transcripts.
- A copy of your current academic class schedule.
- A recent resume or cover letter.
- A course syllabus if you are seeking academic credit for this role.
