About the role#
The Administrative Reconciliation Intern supports the Human Resources Department at the Hampton University Proton Cancer Institute. You will handle financial data audits and compensation research to ensure accurate record keeping. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Audit and reconcile monthly benefits deductions against insurance vendor premiums using Microsoft Excel.
- Compare year-to-date benefits premiums with payroll deductions.
- Document financial discrepancies between Hampton University and the Institute.
- Request general ledger records from the Finance department.
- Verify payroll timesheet entries and confirm leave balances.
- Conduct a market rate and cost of living analysis for all positions within the region.
- Assist the Human Resources Manager with daily operational tasks.
- Prepare and deliver a PowerPoint presentation for fellow interns at the end of the program to share your experiences and professional development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college, university, or technical institution, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- Proof of good academic standing.
- A copy of your current academic class schedule.
- A recent resume or cover letter.
- A course syllabus if you are seeking academic credit.
