About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Ottawa, Ontario, contributing to the Canadian Buildings sector. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience on real construction projects while developing technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Conduct deficiency walks and input findings into logs.
- Coordinate and supervise sub-trade work.
- Perform quality assurance reviews and track site progress.
- Take progress photos and maintain project records.
- Verify site conditions against project drawings.
- Mark up, update, and produce as-built drawings.
- Perform quantity take-offs.
- Review trade quotes by verifying material quantities, rates, and hours.
- Participate in project meetings.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working towards a degree or diploma in a civil engineering related field.
- You possess a self-motivated, hands-on approach to your work.
- You have experience with software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting.
- You are eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance at the Reliability Status level.
- Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.

- Compensation: $21.25 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience.
