About the role#
We are hiring an Engineering Student to join our team in Kelowna. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term. You will work on-site to assist with project coordination and field operations.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate drawings and work scopes for specific trades and sub-trades.
- Review trade quotes by verifying material quantities, hours, and rates.
- Participate in project meetings and monitor workforce productivity.
- Conduct deficiency walks and maintain deficiency logs.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and verify site conditions.
- Update field drawings and produce as-built drawings.
- Manage project records and issue warranties.
- Take and coordinate progress photos.
- Update project schedules and create manual schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software.
- Create and maintain graphical scheduling using AutoCAD.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering program.
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting software.
- Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.
