About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You will join the Atlantic Canada district for a four-month term starting in January 2027. This role is on-site and offers an opportunity to gain administrative experience within the construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Manage daily office tasks including filing, data entry, and fielding telephone calls.
- Draft correspondence and format various documents.
- Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, and Word documents.
- Assist with board meeting logistics, including room setup, catering, and document distribution.
- Support the office receptionist and mailroom operations as needed.
- Maintain office supply inventory and process orders.
- Distribute electronic invoices.
- Conduct internet research and assist other staff members with overflow work.
What you'll need#
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize tasks and manage multiple priorities at once.
- Capacity to work well with a diverse team and interact professionally across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- A flexible and energetic approach to new challenges.
- Adaptability to changing business needs.
