About the role#
We are hiring an Accounting Student for our Canadian Industrial Division in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term, with options for a 4 or 8 month duration starting in January 2027. You will report directly to the Accounting Manager and assist the team with a variety of financial tasks.
What you'll do#
- Manage full cycle accounts payable and enter invoices into the accounting system.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, and Visa cards.
- Handle inter-company invoicing and client progress billings.
- Assist with subcontract administration and courier or phone costing.
- Prepare accounts receivable reports and perform weekly cheque printing.
- Generate and manage ad hoc reports while providing general support to the accounting team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting diploma or degree program.
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage your time effectively.
- Capability to handle multiple projects at once.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Edmonton, Alberta.
- Modality: This position is on-site. Public transportation is not available, so you must have your own vehicle.
- Requirements: You must provide your own CSA approved steel-toed boots and pass a pre-access alcohol and drug test.
