About the role#
As an Accounting Co-op at Merus, you will apply your academic coursework to a professional setting. You will work alongside business units to deliver results for our organization, clients, and investors. This role is designed to help you gain hands-on experience that you can bring back to your studies.
What you'll do#
- Deposit receipts and record transactions.
- Record journal entries.
- Research outstanding checks with vendors.
- Research past due statements, verify payments, or request invoices from vendors.
- Reconcile high-volume bank account activity daily.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for assigned entities.
- Work on additional accounting projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to maintain ownership of tasks and prioritize responsibilities to deliver results on time.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- A resilient work ethic and the ability to build positive working relationships.

- Location: Cincinnati, Ohio.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site, paid position.
- Note: This role involves office work with occasional visits to construction sites, which may require personal protective equipment and involve exposure to outdoor conditions.
