About the role#
We are looking for a senior-level or graduate student to join our Accounting team at our headquarters in Columbia, Missouri. This internship takes place during the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site and gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, data analysis, and core accounting operations as you support our growing business.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and learn from members of our Accounting and Financial Reporting team.
- Assist with accounting research, journal entries, and data entry.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts.
- Use Excel formulas, pivot tables, and macros to manage and report data.
- Support month-end closing processes and the preparation of financial reports.
- Conduct financial trend analysis and peer company comparisons.
- Document process flows for key business processes, including identifying systems, risks, and internal controls.
- Compile data to help streamline processes and track information.
- Take on additional tasks to learn more about accounting and office operations.
What you'll need#
- Actively working toward a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
- Completed a variety of accounting-related courses.
- Proficiency with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
- A strong desire to take on new challenges with a positive attitude.
