About the role#
We are looking for a senior-level or graduate student to join our Accounting team at our headquarters in Columbia, Missouri. This internship takes place during the Summer of 2027. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience with financial reporting and accounting operations while supporting our growing business.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and learn from members of our Accounting and Financial Reporting team.
- Assist with accounting research, data entry, and the preparation of journal entries.
- Record and maintain accurate financial records.
- Use Excel formulas, pivot tables, and macros to manage and report data.
- Help reconcile accounts and assist with month-end closing tasks.
- Prepare financial reports, track trends, and conduct peer company comparisons.
- Document process flows, identify internal controls, and map out system risks.
- Streamline processes and take on additional operational projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Actively working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles from completed coursework.
- Proficiency in Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward new challenges.
