About the role#
We are looking for a senior-level or graduate student to join our Accounting team for a Winter 2027 internship. You will work on-site at our headquarters in Columbia, Missouri. This is a full-time, paid position designed to provide hands-on experience in financial reporting and operations.
What you'll do#
- Shadow members of the Accounting and Financial Reporting team to learn our business processes.
- Assist with data entry, journal entries, and accounting research.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts during month-end closing.
- Use Excel formulas, pivot tables, and macros to manage and report data.
- Prepare financial reports, perform trend analysis, and conduct peer company comparisons.
- Document process flows, including systems, risks, and internal controls.
- Support the team by streamlining processes and tracking information.
- Take on additional tasks to gain exposure to broader office operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Accounting.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Completion of a variety of accounting coursework with a basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
- Proficiency with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- High attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a desire to take on new challenges.
