About the role#
The Elevate Program and Tax Internship is a combined experience designed for accounting students. You will begin with the Elevate program, which includes a three-day leadership conference and year-long development opportunities. This program focuses on building connections with firm leaders and peers while strengthening skills in communication, collaboration, and business acumen. Following this, you will transition into a tax internship, where you will work with various companies and gain hands-on experience in a professional team environment.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a three-day leadership conference and continued development experiences.
- Build professional connections with firm leaders and peers.
- Develop an understanding of client needs, business operations, and industry-specific challenges.
- Learn to use RSM audit approaches and internal tools.
- Assess risks and evaluate the internal control structures of clients.
- Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
- Draft financial statements under prescribed formats.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited accounting degree program.
- Completion of 90 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Anticipated full-time associate start date of Fall 2029 or Winter 2030.
- Demonstrated leadership and involvement in student organizations.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
- A minimum 3.4 GPA is preferred.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to client locations.

- Compensation: $34 - $40 per hour.
