About the role#
As a Federal Credits and Incentives Tax Intern, you will work within the CIM group to support our tax planning and research efforts. This role focuses on the Research and Development credit and other federal incentives. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting project implementation and learning about our clients' business operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with tax planning and research related to the R&D credit and other federal credits.
- Coordinate resources, gather data, and perform computations and analysis for multiple projects.
- Conduct client interviews to support project objectives.
- Draft opinion letters and write technical memoranda.
- Help drive the success of federal credit engagements.
- Maintain your technical competency through continuing education and professional certifications.
What you'll need#
- You must have completed 90 credit hours and be working toward a B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively on a team and manage multiple tasks.
- You must be able to travel to client locations and have access to reliable transportation.
- This role does not offer sponsorship for work authorization.
