About the role#
The Business Incentives Group (BIG) internship provides hands-on experience within a national consulting practice. You will assist companies and individuals in identifying and claiming government incentives, such as the Research & Development Tax Credit, designed to promote innovation and economic growth. This role is a full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the execution of multiple client engagements.
- Collaborate with BIG professionals on business strategies, marketing, and internal processes.
- Build effective working relationships with team members and other BDO employees.
- Contribute to your own technical development and support the market presence of the BIG practice.
- Conduct research to help identify business development opportunities for new and existing clients.
- Support the culture of the local office and the firm.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program.
- Preferred focus in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Communications, or Law.
- Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet project deadlines in a deadline-driven environment.
- Capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
- Professionalism when interacting with individuals at all organizational levels.
- A desire to understand the reasoning behind tasks and a commitment to self-study.
- Prior leadership experience is a plus.

- Location: Denver, Colorado.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $35.00 to $39.00 per hour for the Colorado location.
- Term: Summer 2027.
