About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in public accounting. You will work alongside professionals to complete audits, reviews, and tax returns. The program runs from January 2027 through April 16, 2027. You will gain exposure to 8-12 client engagements across industries like manufacturing, construction, retail, and non-profit.
What you'll do#
- Work on engagement teams to complete audits, reviews, and compilations.
- Travel to client sites to perform audit engagements.
- Compile and analyze financial information.
- Test and document business transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements.
- Assist with the preparation of corporate and individual tax returns.
- Conduct tax research and work on tax projections.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting.
- A 3.0 GPA in both your cumulative record and accounting major.
- Completion of at least one intermediate accounting course by Spring 2027 is preferred.
- Ability to work 25-40+ hours per week, including Saturdays.
- Strong drive to pursue a career in public accounting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through work or extracurriculars.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven time management skills.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- Previous work experience is preferred.
