About the role#
As a Tax Intern in Core Tax Services, you will work with experienced professionals to support our client base. This role provides hands-on experience with firm practices and tax processes while you build your professional network. This is a paid, full-time internship scheduled for Winter 2028.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and extensions under the supervision of senior team members.
- Use tax software to complete simple returns.
- Assist with components of income tax provisions.
- Help prepare responses to notices from the Internal Revenue Service.
- Use online research tools to gather tax information.
- Monitor tax law developments and communicate findings to your team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a relevant field.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
