About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Irvine, California. Interns work with a variety of clients to build relationships and solve business challenges. You will work on multiple team engagements throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Integrate state and local tax services with existing clients.
- Complete tax planning and research tasks.
- Develop an understanding of state and local tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
- Review current client tax processes to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements to reduce tax exposure.
- Coordinate with client information technology personnel to obtain data.
- Analyze data for reporting requirements, audit procedures, and potential refunds or credits.
- Assist clients with evaluating sales and use tax software systems and support the implementation process.
What you'll need#
- You are an Accounting major working toward a B.A. or B.S. degree.
- You have completed at least 90 credit hours.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple tasks.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.

- Travel to client locations is required. You must have access to reliable transportation.
