About the role#
EquipmentShare is looking for a student intern to join the Fleet Sales Team at our headquarters in Columbia, Missouri. This internship takes place during the Fall of 2026, running from October through mid-December. You will gain hands-on experience in equipment rental operations, customer coordination, and process improvement during this 10 to 12 week program.
What you'll do#
- Manage rental requests submitted through Slack from a re-rent partner company.
- Coordinate between partner companies and internal yard teams to facilitate equipment rentals.
- Review incoming rental quote requests to identify equipment, dates, and customer requirements.
- Research equipment availability and develop accurate rental options.
- Prepare and communicate timely quotes while responding to Quick Quote requests.
- Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with partners and internal teams via email.
- Analyze standard operating procedures to identify opportunities for improved speed and accuracy.
- Develop and present a Rental Quote Process Improvement Report, including recommendations and a usable tracking tool.

- Excellent organization and time management to handle multiple active requests simultaneously.
- A customer service mindset with a professional approach to all interactions.
- Proficiency with Slack, email, and standard business systems.
- Ability to maintain accuracy while managing a high volume of work.
- Strong coordination and follow-through to ensure tasks are completed.
