About the role#
PCL Construction is seeking a Procurement Student for our Canadian Industrial Division district office in Edmonton, Alberta. This is an 8-month, full-time, paid position starting in January 2027. You will report directly to the District Procurement Manager.
What you'll do#
- Source materials, services, and equipment following company policies.
- Identify and select vendors based on price, quality, safety, and delivery requirements.
- Expedite orders and manage shipping and receiving tasks.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and records.
- Prepare procurement reports and necessary documentation.
- Provide administrative support for equipment management.
- Practice and uphold PCL safety standards.
- Assist with general procurement and equipment management activities as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary Supply Chain Management or Operations Management program.
- A strong interest in working within the construction industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage your time effectively.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Capability to maintain positive working relationships with your team.
