About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship for a Student Geologist. You will work alongside industry experts to gain hands-on experience across exploration, reservoir characterization, development, and operations. You will participate in multidisciplinary teams to see how geology influences business decisions and operational success.
What you'll do#
- Perform log interpretation, geologic mapping, structural modelling, and core analysis.
- Investigate critical parameters that influence productivity and economics.
- Identify opportunities for new well locations or pad optimization.
- Support operations through drilling and completions by analyzing rock properties.
- Engage in multi-disciplinary integration with teams like Geophysics and Petrophysics.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Canadian university program in Geoscience or Geology.
- Status as a full-time student through December 2027.
- Eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship.
- Availability from May 3, 2027, to August 19, 2027.

- This position is based in Calgary, Alberta.
- The role is on-site.
- The internship term is Summer 2027.
- The hourly compensation range is $28.13 to $40.96 CAD, depending on academic experience.
