About the role#
The Grant Writing Intern supports the Business Development Department at Our National Conversation. You will help the team secure funding through research, writing, and campaign management. This role involves working with leadership to advance our mission of reducing partisanship through nonpartisan news and policy solutions. You will work remotely and must manage your own schedule to meet deadlines.
What you'll do#
- Assist with fundraising campaigns, including crowdfunding research and outreach.
- Prepare campaign materials for donor engagement.
- Conduct research on grant opportunities and fundraising best practices.
- Write grant proposals and track potential funding sources.
- Participate in weekly organization-wide and department meetings.
What you'll need#
- Interest in nonprofit management or fundraising.
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Political Science, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace.
- Authorization to intern in the U.S.
