About the role#
The Community Events Intern supports our mission to reduce partisanship and promote effective policy solutions. You will help plan and host speaker series for our team and the public. You will also develop the College Campus Initiative, which encourages political tolerance and discussion on campuses. This is a remote role requiring coordination over Zoom and Slack.
What you'll do#
- Plan and execute ONC booths and networking events on college campuses.
- Work with the Director of Community Events, COO, and CEO to organize ONC College Chapters.
- Network and reach out to potential mentors, experts, and speakers.
- Manage scheduling for the Community Speaker Series.
- Update event information on Eventbrite and manage Zoom scheduling.
- Attend weekly organization-wide and department meetings.
- Meet team milestones and deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in event management.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work remotely on your own schedule.
- Authorization to intern in the U.S.
- A one-page cover letter.
- Experience with Eventbrite and Google Workspace is preferred.

- This position is remote.
- This is an unpaid internship.
- The term is on a rolling basis, with a minimum commitment through the end of the semester.
