About the role#
The Content Creator Intern helps Our National Conversation produce nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions. You will work directly on the podcast team to record, edit, and publish episodes. This is a remote role that requires coordination via Slack, email, and Zoom. You must commit to at least the end of the current semester.
What you'll do#
- Produce podcast episodes by writing, recording, and editing content for timely delivery to the team lead.
- Complete deliverables on the content calendar and suggest new ideas for approval.
- Create episode titles, thumbnails, and short-form reels for social media.
- Write descriptions for Spotify and YouTube uploads.
- Develop strategies to reach target audiences and improve engagement.
- Communicate effectively with team members across digital platforms.
- Attend weekly podcast team meetings and organization-wide meetings every other week.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Communications, Video & Graphic Arts, Film/Video Production, Script Writing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of sound editing is required, and video editing skills are preferred.
- Experience with social media platforms and basic marketing principles.
- Ability to manage files, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote setting.
- Familiarity with podcast styles and trends.
- Authorization to intern in the U.S.
- A one-page cover letter submitted with your application.
- Google Workspace experience is preferred.
