About the role#
Make-A-Wish Alabama is hiring an Events Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position that operates on a hybrid and remote basis. You will work directly with the Development Team to support our special events, individual giving efforts, and corporate alliances.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning and execution of special events.
- Solicit items for silent auctions.
- Manage mass emailing campaigns.
- Communicate with vendors, donors, and wish families via phone.
- Perform data entry and maintain records in the donor database.
- Obtain quotes for event needs.
- Conduct research to support development projects.
- Attend select after-hours or weekend events as opportunities arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or recent graduation in Communications, Marketing, or Business Administration.
